The Crook Winter Light Parade is a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and light in the darkest months—and it’s one of the most visually striking events I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. From handmade lanterns and illuminated costumes to glowing processions through the streets, the parade transforms the town into a living artwork after dark.
My photographs from the event focus on the atmosphere: the flicker of candlelight against winter skies, the joy on children’s faces, the sense of togetherness that comes from creating something magical as a community. It’s an event full of movement, colour, and heart—and capturing it means working instinctively, finding beauty in fleeting moments.
