The Baldy Holly Band at Reeth Memorial Hall
Reeth Memorial Hall came alive tonight with the unmistakable sound of rock ’n’ roll, as the Baldy Holly Band delivered an electrifying performance that had the whole hall buzzing from the first chord to the final encore.
It was a packed house, with locals and visitors alike filling the space, many up dancing and singing along to the band’s high-energy set. Their mix of Buddy Holly classics, early rock ’n’ roll hits, and punchy stage presence created an atmosphere that was infectious — the kind of gig that reminds you why live music matters.
Photographing the evening was a real pleasure. The Baldy Holly Band are seasoned performers, full of movement, charisma, and character — all the things that make for great live music photography. Reeth Memorial Hall, with its intimate space and community spirit, provided the perfect backdrop. It’s always a treat to capture performances in venues that feel personal and alive with local energy.
I’ve shared a selection of images from the night that I think capture the vibrancy of the performance, the connection with the audience, and the joy of live music on a summer evening in Swaledale.
Big thanks to the band for being so photogenic and to everyone who came out and made the night what it was.
