This morning brought a real burst of colour and cheer to Reeth as The Buck hosted the PINKtober Craft Fair in support of Cancer Research UK 💗
The back room was alive with the hum of conversation, the scent of fresh coffee, and the gentle clinking of craft stalls being set up. Tables brimmed with handmade creations, from knitted hats and hand thrown pottery to carefully stitched bags and unique local artwork, all made with love and generosity. There was a lovely buzz about the place, the kind of warmth that only a small Dales community can conjure.
Visitors drifted in steadily through the morning, sharing smiles and stories as they browsed. Many paused to chat with the makers, to hear the stories behind each handmade piece, and to drop a few extra pounds into the donation jars. It was a reminder of what makes Reeth and the wider Swaledale community so special, that quiet but powerful willingness to show up, give time, and support something that truly matters.
The fair continues until around 3pm, so there is still plenty of time to pop by, enjoy the atmosphere, and lend your support to this excellent cause. Every purchase, every raffle ticket, every shared conversation adds up to something meaningful, helping Cancer Research UK continue its vital work.
PINKtober is about more than just fundraising; it is about connection, compassion, and community. And today, The Buck was full of all three.
