Taken on our daily, morning dog walk. The snowdrops are a fabulous reminder that spring is on the way and the cold wet days of winter will soon be behind us.
Snowdrops have been known since the earliest times under various names, but were named Galanthus in 1753.
Most species flower in winter, before the vernal equinox.
